The texture used on the ramp which leads to the upper seating area expresses a sense of direction which guide the passengers between the spaces in the station.
The light texture used on the walls next to the seating areas evoke a light and pleasant atmosphere. Passengers that are waiting at a train station should be surrounded by simplistic environments as a person's commute is a daily routine which doesn't require too much emotional input.
The dark texture used in the main supporting structure of the station is used to convey structural integrity and strength. The interweaving patterns of this texture expresses the durability and reliability of the structure.

Sketch Sections
Initially I had some very simple nouns such as 'glove' to describe the client's products. However, while drawing these sketches, I found some difficulty expressing what I wanted out of the words so I changed some. While progressing through the sketches, I was able to build up on ideas from the previous sketches to further improve what I was drawing.
Custom Textures
The Stair
I wanted to emphasise the curved aspects of the glass domes around the building into the stair. This was achieved by a spiral staircase encased in glass to symbolise the curvature and geometric attributes.

The first draft resulted in only an extrusion of the section. It was important to consider the sections from the other angles as well.
